It’s Fall! And that means it’s time for the 2nd Annual No Bones for Halftones Show. This Saturday, grab a plain t-shirt and come to St. Johns to get a free screen-printed design/illustration on your shirt.
Last year we had an amazing turn out and it was tons of fun. This year, there are 12 artists. That’s 12 different t-shirt designs. All for free! Did I forget to mention, there will also be free beer from Captured By Porches?! In addition to the free stuff, there will also be merchandise, tons of vinyl stickers, and lovely art to view, also don’t forget to make a donation. Art supplies aren’t cheap.
Yours truly will be one of the featured artists. From 6:00 – 6:30 pm you can get a screen print of this image I drew:
Come check it out and go to the website to find out more about the event: No Bones For Halftones Website and Facebook. See you there!
I used 3 colors and 5 different blocks for this print. Not an easy task.
Last November, a button show created by Jim Hoehnle and Chris Bentzen called Hot One Inch Action was scheduled to take place at Backspace, but due to some issues at the borders, the U.S. would not allow these nice Canadian fellas and their buttons enter the country. Sadly, the show got canceled. Good news: The show has been rescheduled!
Here’s how it works:
The original work of fifty different artists is presented on one inch buttons. These one inch buttons are displayed on the wall and the audience is offered the opportunity to buy randomly selected buttons in mixed bags of five for $5. If the bag purchased does not have the desired button, trade with the people around you.
It sounds like tons of fun! I have a button in the show. Come and check it out! Buy a bag of 5 and get your trade on.
