Road Trip
February 12, 2008
Yesterday, I arrived home from a weekend trip to Ashland, Oregon. Here’s a list of 10 Things I experienced/learned on my 5 hour drive back to Portland:
- Four different black jeeps felt the desire to ride my ass on I-5.
- My co-pilot sang me a few Flight of The Conchords songs.
- Mirah’s album, Joyride: Remixes, made me sleepy while driving.
- The burger, fries, and coke that I consumed from the Burger King, in Cottage Grove, reminded me of why I stopped eating fast food, and drinking soda, a long time ago: it leaves an unsettling feeling within.
- Analyzing my extensive contemplation of the people I saw, and the things I did this past weekend, made the time go by faster.
- Middle-aged women who drive big trucks also enjoy tailgating.
- My debit card worked at a gas station (when I got a new card, many months ago, gas stations never accepted it).
- Accidentally, touching my passenger’s knee, while shifting from park to drive, was an open invitation for him to, intentionally, do the same back to me.
- Something inside or outside of my car smelt like burritos
- I was educated on all the controversies of the Oregon Lottery.
